Honey Fried Walleye
If your looking for a different way of cooking your freshly caught walleye, try this honey fried walleye recipe. The recipe is straight forward and easy enough for just about anyone to pull off, plus it tastes like a million bucks!
So here we go, lets take a look at the ingredients of this great fish recipe;
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp of honey
- 2 cups butter-flavored crackers; crushed
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 4 fresh walleye fillets, or about 2lbs
- 1/3 cup cooking oil
Now that you have all your ingredients together lets start putting this meal together!
In a bowl begin beating your eggs together with the honey, mix well! Now you will want to grab a bag to mix your crushed crackers and salt in. Once you have the above two steps completed, you will want to start heating your oil up in a large skillet.
Now take each of your fillets and dip them in your egg honey mix, then place them in the plastic bag in which you have your cracker mix. Shake any access cracker mix off of each fillet and then place them in hot oil. Fry until each is golden brown.
Wasnt that easy? You now have a great tasting meal that was oh so easy to pull off!
In a shallow bowl, beat eggs; add honey. In a plastic bag, combine crackers and salt. Dip fish in egg mixture then shake in bag until coated. In a skillet, cook fillets in oil for 3-5 minutes perside or until golden and fish flakes easily with a fork. Serve with lemon wedges if desired.
